Integrated building automation

Having building systems that work together intelligently saves money not only during the

construction of an ofﬁ ce building, but also over the long term through increased energy efﬁ ciency.

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems run only when needed. Lighting is controlled

based on demand, daylight, occupancy, and even season. Blinds and shades are controlled based

on wind speed and the position of the sun. Media systems in conference, training and seminar

rooms are integrated into the existing building automation platform.

Beckhoff solutions

Communication between the individual automation stations takes

place via Ethernet TCP/IP. The level of automation in a room can be

individually adjusted through free conﬁ guration of individual Bus

Terminals. Alternatively, the BC9191 room controller integrates these

functions within a single module. Rooms and/or areas with repeat

requirements need only be programmed once and can be replicated.

With features like these, an efﬁ cient, multi-component room

automation system can be implemented that meets energy efﬁ ciency

class A.
